Nearly finished......

The job list has been getting smaller and smaller over the past week.  I have got loads done today and it feels like I am nearly done with just a few more jobs to do.

Need to fit a scoop
sort out some more IVA bits/trims etc.
the airbox needs a hole filling
and a few other bits..

Next for me..

1. Book IVA!
2. Take it to get rolling roaded.
3. Fake MOT to get brakes, lights and emissions done - will drive it to the MOT, legal apparently!
4. IVA!

Some pictures..

Front CSR Arches

One of the last few jobs to to do is to fit the front arches.  I opted for the for CSR arches, they are lighter and apparently more aerodynamic.  There are some really nice carbon ones out there which I might have to upgrade to at a later date.

Not to sure how they are suppose to go, looking around the top section is flat and this looks like it should be level with the car.

The inside of the arches need a small amount of the arch cut away.

I offered the arch up on the outside and marked them to cut.

On reflection, this was the wrong thing to do as the supports are not straight. So I had to make wider notches than I would have liked.

I used the Dremel with a sanding tool to cut out the notches.

There are a few options on how to fix the arches. Either tiger seal them or bolt them down. I went for the bolt down method so I could remove and replacement nice and easy at a later date.

With the arches in the right position and ensuring the arch covers all of the tire, I removed the wheel and marked where the mounts came on the inside of the arch.

I was then able to mark where I was going to drill my mounting holes.

Arches drilled, bars drilled and tapped and arches fitted in place with some M5 dome heads and rubber washers.

The Results....

Harness top mounts.

With the boot lid in place I secured the shoulder sections of the harnesses in place. Used caps for the IVA. I believe I also need to edge trim the metal brackets.

The harnesses look the nuts!
