When I first took the diff cover off the oil inside was like mug, looked like 20+ years of being thrashed around a Sierra. I gave it a good clean out with some tissue and then applied the cover again and filled with some new engine oil I had kicking around. I ran the electric reverse for a while to give it a good mix around. When I removed this oil it looked much cheaper.
The new cover is certainly lighter than the original cover.
New cover, sealed and fitted ready for some new diff oil.
