IVA Fixes

Exhaust now sitting within 50mm of the arch.

Ensured the CAT was sealed and no leaks.

I work in such a mess! Not proud! lol.

Onto the collapsable boss. It was huge!

Fitting the boss to the quick release was easy.

It pushes the steering wheel quite far away from the paddles.

How do I fit the steering wheel to the boss. I thought about making another adapter but it was going to push the wheel even further away.

Here goes nothing!

IVA Steering wheel.

So the following steering wheel won't pass without a pad being fitting in the centre of the wheel. I have seen others fit a steering wheel pad and had a pass. I wanted to turn up with a car that I would be proud of and the pad looks a little thrown on so thought it was best to order a steering wheel with a pad.

Managed to find a Momo steering wheel that are usually fitted to Caterham's. Not really in keeping with the MNR but its perfect fro the IVA. Its also wasn't cheap so hopefully I will be able to sell afterwards.

The wheel turned up today.  Really impressed with it, its tiny but well made and the pad is perfect.

Looks fab.. Really fits in with the style of the car.  Its a 3 hole wheel so goes straight onto my quick release.

Universal Steering Joint

The MOT tester wasn't impressed with my universal steering joint. It had alot of play it in.  They said it would pass an MOT but being new with that much play it would only get worse. 

To save any problems with the IVA I thought I would replace...

Heres the new one, pretty much identical just much better quality.

Fitted.. It feels so much better. No play in the steering at all now. Feels far more precise.

No play at all..
