Air intake ducting

Decided to replace my bog pan!  It wasn't really in keeping with the car and the paint was flicking off.

I ordered a few bits but won't fit the complete kit until after IVA.  Below is my temporary intake for the IVA.

Airbox Adapter

My airbox adapter was returned from AB performance.. The first one didn't quite fit. This one is perfect!

I had to fix in place with tiger seal. Waiting to dry so I can fix in place.

Airbox Mod and intake duct

My airbox adapter turned up from AB Performance so time to start cutting about the standard airbox.

The AB performance adapter replaces the two lower ram air inlets and replaces it with a forward facing 100mm inlet.

I marked up where the adapter was going to come up to so I could cut everything else out that was not required.

The crank case breather is also cut off, I will need to plug this and run a catch tank.

Dremel made easy work of this..

The adapter fits really well, and looks very OEM.

In position but won't align up with the throttle cable in position, need to talk to Andy to find out if this needs adjusting.

I need to get some cold air to the airbox.. I can either just run my ducting to the nose and have it hanging there which should be sufficient but I would like to fit some ducts to filter the cold air in.

My options are a 50mm Duct on either side of the nose going to a splitter and then into a single 100mm hose going to the airbox.

Option two is a single 75mm duct on the bonnet.

Air intake all painted..

The pan connector has now a few coats of paint.. Its looking really good.

Here the airbox mod that I will need to fit soon.

Doesn't look like a toilet at all.

UPDATE:  I binned this shortly after this..

Air Intake

The standard air intake has the original ram air intakes that would normally sit at the front of the bike and suck loads of air into the airbox.

Now its in a box in a car all its doing is sucking in hot air.  I've purchased an air intake from AB performance that removes the two intakes and replaced them with one 100mm intake facing forward.

Instead of spending loads of fancy motor sport ducting Andy recommended I get a flexible pan connector and spray it black.

Another couple of coats and it should look pretty good.

UPDATE:  I did not go with this in the end..
