Dynojet Power Commander - rewire and install

Now most of the under scuttle wiring is complete it was time to wire in the power commander

I cut all the honda plugs off as I was wiring this the ECU side and not the injector side.

The bits I cut off..

The area I need to chop into.

All wired up.

And in position.. Its just under the scuttle so I can access it at any time.

Power Commander loom cutting

So I purchased the wrong power commander late last year for the older engine and then managed to pick up a later engine in the new year.

I thought I was going to have to buy a new power commander but after speaking to the tech guys are dynojet it sounds like I can just cut into the look and joint it up to the relevant wires in my bike loom and it will work.

So tonight's efforts were sitting on the garage floor working out what does what. Looks like there is a feed to the each injector and then a wire back to the ecu for each injector. It picks up power from injector one and also two cables from the throttle position sensor.

Thinking about using plugs instead of soldering in case I get it wrong.

Exciting day..

My first part for the car turned up today..

Not every exciting and not like I can do anything with it but at least a start!

Been on the hunt for a engine but can't find anything close to my budget at the moment.

Ebay Shopping..

Its started...

Not managed to source an engine yet but I have sourced a Power Commander, a bit of a bargain on Ebay..

Its a Power Commander V "WITH VITAL O2 OPTOMISER" whatever that means.  I guess I should find out.

Best read the manual...
