Brake lines..

Today I wanted to start bleeding the brakes, before that could happen I needed to connect up all the copper lines and drill the tub to allow the flexi hoses through.

I used grommets where the lines came through the tub.

Looks nice and neat.

The lines connect to the rear of the calliper, I got confused to start off with as I thought the lines replaced one of the bleed nipples. I missed the connection at the back of the calliper.

I had to raise the front T as my coolant hose was now in the way.

There won't be any bleeding going on today.. Well only my blood from cutting my hand on the glass tub a number of times.

I am missing some locking nuts to hold the flexi hoses to the chassis.  Ordered some M10 x 1 half nuts today.

Slow progress.. Brake line fixings

Slow progress the last few days, tonight I managed to finish off some more of the brake lines.

Decided to move the front brake feed line as I wasn't happy with the route the manual shows.

Brake/fuels line fixing, Diff install, engine in..

Didn't have all day on the car today, I had to do garden centre duties before garage time could commence..  :-)

Wanted to get the lines around the diff completed so I could take advantage of having my Father around to lend a had fitting the diff later.

With all the lines fixed in we could fit the diff. I got under the car to support the weight while my Father lifted it into place. With a few bolts pushed through the mount it held the weight of the diff.

Used the washers as spacers, then threadlocked the bolts and tightened up.

Loads of room under the diff for the lines.

We discussed how we were going to get the engine in and the process, before I know its in the car.  I wasn't really ready for it to go in but its good to check all the lines are free and fixings work.

Some action shocks taken by the misses..

There you go.. Its in..  The fixings don't meet up well so I need to investigate that.
