Wiring Loom stripping

Right back on the wiring loom

I started off with the head light part of the loom that connects to the clocks. Cut out all the headlight and indicator etc wiring as that won't be required as it comes with the car loom.

First job was to remove all the wrap tape and rubber case. I also removed all the hard plastic frame that's used to hold the loom to the bike.

Straight away you can see how less bulky it becomes.

Was told to keep the diagnostic light and the bridge plug. The diagnostic FI warning light is show as FI on the wiring diagram that connects to the clocks (combination Meter). The bridge plug I believe is the DLC plug. Everything else apparently connected to the clocks can go but I'm going to leave that for now.

Now time to start on the main loom.

I stripped the headlight and brakelight cables.

The sidestand looks like it can be cut out and the two wires just joined together so the ecu thinks the sidestand is always up.

More to come.
